Match Report: Asante Kotoko demolishes Kotoku Royals in a 6-goal thriller.

Bottom-placed Kotoku Royals couldn’t survive at the Baba Yara sports Stadium as Asante Kotoko hit 5goals past them. Former Asante Kotoko striker Francis Andy Kumi got the consolation goal for Oda Kotoku Royals whilst Steven Mukwala 2x, Eric Zeze Serge, Richmond Lamptey, and Solomon Sarfo Taylor got the goals for the defending league champions.

Asante Kotoko started the game with some exciting football in the opening stages and it earn them the opening goal through Richmond Lamptey after a lovely one-touch pass between Zeze and Mfegue to set up Lamptey who placed to break the deadlock in the  10th minute of the game.  In the 22nd minute, Steven Dese Mukwala won himself a penalty and converted it expertly to make it 2-0 for the porcupine warriors.
