After a 6-2 thumping at Bechem United, the Pride of the North will be looking to make amends when they welcome giants Hearts of Oak at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday evening.
Real Tamale United are currently on a 5 games unbeaten run at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium where as Hearts of Oak are also unbeaten in the last 5 games away.
The Pride of the North are doing particularly well this season, placed 8th on the table with 21 points always in reach of the Top 4.
RTU transferred David Abagna to Sudanese giants Al Halil in a record transfer this week. The side has been without the mercurial midfielder for most parts of the season and with most players stepping up in his presence.
Yussif Nurudeen leading the team in the captaincy role and goals have been shared among the squad. Issah Kuka, Manaf Umar, Stephen Badu, and Baba Kushibo all stepped up in Abagna’s absence with the fans hoping it continues.
Hearts of Oak lost once in their last 12 games in the league with new signings yet to gel and lots of absentees due to national duty and injuries during the season so far.
