Austria Bundesliga side LASK announced the signing of Ghanaian attacker Mustapha Ibrahim until 2026 from Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade.
22-year-old Ibrahim Mustapha moves from the reigning Serbian double winner Red Star Belgrade to LASK. The Ghanaian moved from his homeland to the offspring of Red Star three years ago and earned – after three loans within Serbia – a squad place at the capital club.
In the current season, Ibrahim Mustapha featured 19 times for Red Star across all competitions and also gained experience in the Champions League qualification (three appearances) and the Europa League group phase (four appearances).
LASK Sports Director Radovan Vujanovic on Ibrahim Mustapha
“We wanted to position ourselves even broadly on the offensive, especially in the centre forward position, so we got Ibrahim. We have had him on the screen for a long time and also watched him live during our training camp in Belek. He is a robust and fast pressing player and brings a lot of potential at the age of 22,”
