Cephas Mantey broke the deadlock of the game on the 8th minute of the game after keeping his composure and taking a thunderbolt strike past Richmond Ayi to give the hunters the lead. 5minutes later, Bechem United doubled the lead after a solo dance from Emmanuel Avornyo through the defence of Accra hearts of oak to locate Hafiz Konkoni who tapped in to make it 2-0. The first half of the game ended 2-0 in favour of Bechem United.
Back from recess, Hearts of oak started with pressure and determination to find the equalized and possibly the winner which never came.
55th minute substitute, Enoch Asuoboteng was sent off on the 84th minute after conceding to yellow cards on the 72nd and 84th minutes respectively. 6minutes to the ended of the game, hearts were reduced to 10men but kept pushing for at least a consolation goal.
