1. Danlad Ibrahim
The 20year old goalkeeper has been vital for the porcupine warriors and was an integral member for the side when they won the Ghana premier league 2021/22 title. The black star goalie was in top form since last season until the league went on a break. He had 25 games,19 wins, and 5 losses. He also kept 14cleansheets and conceded 15 goals. Stopped 1 penalty out of 4 penalties he faced. He was part of the black stars squad in Qatar and is currently at the camp of the black galaxies as they prepare for the CHAN tournament which will be happening in Algeria next year.
2. Mohammed Sheriff
The versatile midfielder who joined the porcupine warriors from Steadfast FC won the league title in his first season with the porcupine warriors. He was a key in Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum’s 4-2-3-1 formation last season. During last season he helped the porcupine warriors when injuries set into the team. He played as the right back, and left back and also played as a center back in the team. The multifunctional player picked an injury and ended his football season. The player has now recovered from injury and has started training with porcupine warriors ahead of the resumption of the Betpawa premier league.
3. Georges Rodrigue Mfegue
The workaholic attacker who was in some rich vain of form last season for the porcupine warriors is also another player to watch out for this season. The Cameroonian attacker scored eight goals and assisted 9 times for the club. This season, the player has already scored a goal in 5 apps for Asante Kotoko
4. Richard Boadu
The captain, Richard Boadu too is another player to watch for this season. The former Medeama midfielder was handed the captain armband ahead of the season after the departure of Abdul Ganiyu Ishmael. He scored his first goal for the club this season from the spot before the league went on a break.
5. Steven Dese Mukwala
The Ugandan forward is also a player to watch this season for Asante Kotoko. The former viper’s Sc forward who scored 14 goals in the Ugandan league last season was brought to the club to step in the shoes of Franck Etouga Mbella who was the top scorer for the club with 21goals. Before the World Cup break, the striker scored 2 goals,1 assist and won 2 penalties for the porcupine warriors.
