The competition which was originally scheduled for August 2022 was rescheduled to 2023 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Ghana CHAN team started camping in Prampram some two weeks ago and organized two friendly matches against Hearts of oak and Legon cities of which they won all games. Annor Walker and his men are expected to play several high-profile friendlies in Egypt before heading to Algeria for the commencement of the tournament on January 13th.
Ghana reached the grand final of the maiden edition of the CHAN competition in 2009 and repeated the feat in 2014. However, the Ghanaians are yet to win the tournament.
The black galaxies are in group C and will lock horns with Madagascar, Morocco, and Sudan in Algeria
